A day of pottery shopping in authentic Hanoi

Linh's parents brought Rachel and I to what I will call the "Pottery Village" about one hour outside the town of Hanoi. The vast quantities that were on hand for our purchase was beyond belief, pictures can not begin to do this place justice. We were told by her parents just about everything in this village was produced locally here in Vietnam. We saw pickup trucks full of clay in the raw to be used for production and large ovens to do the firing of the pottery to bring it to what you see in the pictures here, i would guess the prices on this would be 5-10 times more expensive if sold in the U.S.
