This is our second day in Vietnam. The day was much characterized by Vietnam's rainy season. It rained all night and most of the day--sometimes VERY much. We stayed inside until the afternoon when we ventured out to go to the open market. This time we had our camera. Again we had two public service announcements in our area. We are not aware of any electrical outages today.
Before going to two open markets (one in the afternoon and a huge one in the evening), we went to a Pagoda temple. After the Pagoda temple we went to an open market where there was much food available for purchase. This included meat of various kinds. Some cooked but most of it raw. Many fruits and vegetables which reminds me that we tried three new fruits today which included trying the famous durian stinky fruit which we'll talk more about later. In the evening we traveled with Linh's parents into town (via the car) to see sights. We saw many things too many to mention at this time.
We are very tired from the days happenings but wanted to minimally post and provide pictures.
